Shopify Refresh for Emerging Fashion Brand, NYC

CLIENT: BR COLLABORATIVE
WEBSITE: brcollaborativenyc.com
LOCATION: Manhattan
CMS: Shopify
GOAL: Pre-product launch refresh

——

Let’s jump right into it. The first thing that caught my attention is that if you are using Shopify then it seems clear that your goal is to sell products yet this home page had no clear CTAs except in the navigation’s SHOP dropdown.

They were launching a new product and had recently done a photo shoot so I was lucky to have great images to choose from. My recommendations were simple:

  1. They had 2 full-width sliders on the old home page which only had one slide so I removed the bottom slider and added 3 images to the top slider including one that highlights the new product.

  2. We added a featured product block with a CTA to the new jacket.

  3. They are trying to build their list so we added a section to subscribe to their newsletter list that connects to their Mailchimp.

  4. And they have s STUNNING Instagram so I added an app that feeds live Instagram updates to their website.

The one recommendation they did not take my advice on was another product block to highlight 3 additional items but I will take this as a win.

Other backend updates were to add the ability to waitlist an out of stock item and I created automations in Mailchimp to welcome new subscribers and remind visitors of their abandoned cart.

You can view their site here and maybe even leave with a new jacket ;-)
